As a Gen X’er myself this is spot on.

I never really bought into the hating the young, or hating the old as a blanket generation thang, but whilst the millennials rage at boomers and the boomers rage at everyone, we’ve just got on with it.

The references, the attitudes, the how we partied (smoking joints and tuning out) all spot on.

I never thought about being ignored as a generation but I think we have. When I see kids with Nirvana t-shirts on I want to tell them I was listening to them when their albums were coming out and getting shit at school for being a “grunge head” dammit.
