Great read. I've also been on Medium since 2016. I've read a lot of your work. Though my following is just over 1,000.

Nonetheless, I was saying to someone just yesterday that Medium is a different beast these days. It's over saturated. I wrote an article that got rejected by 3 publications this week. The common denominator there is my article, so I accept the feedback, but I beleive the bigger publications are less willing to take a chance and are overworked with thousands of daily submissions.

This could be a good thing, of course, but there seems like there's a lot more noise, and I don't think that necessarily translates into more opportunity, or more quality.
