I wrote an article about two years ago that Medium was 100% not addressing the huge elephant in the room that was Ai. I haven’t been on here that much but reading this article and the comments, it seems Ai is now a real problem - who’d have thought it.

Also, I don’t know if it’s because I have written a lot less over the last 18 months but my earnings are now so low I’m not even getting paid (below $10 a month).

I used to earn $500-$700 a month on Medium.

Is this place now an Ai / bot graveyard? I truly hope not.

Pay real writers well and they will stay. The moment the regime changed here is the moment my monthly earnings dropped drastically. And guess what? I left too. Annoyed and frustrated.

Pay real writers and the rest works itself out. I can’t emphasise this enough.
