Super interesting. Many people are arguing about survival rates, generational learning, time and colonisation issues.

All I thought about was all the crew need to be a similar standard of looks else somewhere along the line a division will occur, amplified through the generations and you’ll end up with a ruling, tall, strong and good looking elite and an ugly troll underclass.

There is evolutionary theory suggesting this is going to happen on earth over thousands of years anyway. That ship environment would just make it happen faster. All it takes is for some square jawed officer to ravish bored and attractive female crew members behind their partners’ backs for genetic schism to occur.

Not sure if this is sci-fi or a plot to some sort of philosophical porno, but hey, these things have to be considered.

Human behaviour is the number one variable that needs to be accounted for. Never mind physics, it biology that’s your sticking point.
